Save yourself the hassle of typing in your website’s URL or “Googling” your website each time you want to access your own website. Bookmark your website to make finding and opening your website much easier.

The bookmarking process differs slightly between browsers and devices. Listed below are the bookmarking processes of the browsers our customers most frequently use. Click/Tap on the browser name to open the process steps.

Adding Bookmark in Google Chrome on Windows 10 (desktop)

Step 1: Type in your website’s URL into the Chrome address bar and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Step 2: Click on the star icon in the right-hand side of the address bar.

Step 3: A pop-up box will open.

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)
  • Select a folder where you want to keep the bookmark
  • Click on the “Done” button

If you leave the “Name” field blank, Chrome will display the website’s favicon (icon). This is tidier bookmarks option if you have many bookmarks in your Bookmarks bar (see image above). All websites designed by WeaverWorx have favicons based on your logo or identifying icon.

Saving the bookmark to the “Bookmarks bar” will add it to the space directly underneath the Google Chrome address bar.

Step 4: To visit your website, click on the bookmark.

Adding Bookmark in Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10 (desktop)

Step 1: Type in your website’s URL into the Firefox address bar and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Step 2: Click on the star icon in the right-hand side of the address bar.

Step 3: A pop-up box will open.

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)*
  • Select a folder where you want to keep the bookmark**
  • Add your bookmark tags (optional) ***
  • Click on the “Done” button

*** Firefox lets you add tags (keywords) to your bookmarks to make them easy to find. When you type in the Firefox address bar Firefox will include any bookmarked pages with tags that match your search. Visit the Mozilla Support website to learn more about the Bookmark Tags.

Step 4: To visit your website, click on the bookmark.

Adding Bookmark in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 (desktop)

Step 1: Type in your website’s URL into the Edge address bar and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Step 2: Click on the star icon in the right-hand side of the address bar.

Step 3: A pop-up box will open.

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)

Adding Bookmark in Internet Explorer on Windows 10 (desktop)

Step 1: Type in your website’s URL into the Internet Explorer address bar and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

Step 2: Click on the star icon in the top right-hand side of the browser page.

Step 3: A pop-up box will open. Click on the “Add to favourites” button.

Step 4: Another pop-up box will open.

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)
  • Select a folder where you want to keep the bookmark*
  • Click on the “Add” button

Step 5: To visit your website, click on the bookmark.

Adding Bookmark in Google Chrome on Android (mobile)

Step 1: Navigate to the Google Chrome icon on your mobile and tap the Chrome icon.

Step 2: Type in your website’s URL into the Chrome address bar and tap the checkmark located in the bottom right-hand corner of the keyboard.

Step 3: Tap the menu icon located in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 4: The Chrome menu will open. Tap the star icon located at the top of the menu.

Step 5: Chrome will save the bookmark and display a confirmation message at the bottom of the screen. You can edit the bookmark by tapping on the “Edit” option.

Step 6: Edit your saved bookmark:

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)
  • Select a folder where you want to keep the bookmark.
  • Tap the back arrow to return to the website page.

Step 7: To visit your website using your new bookmark, tap the menu icon located in the upper right-hand corner (see step 3). Tap on the “Bookmarks” option.

Step 8: Your bookmark folders will open. Tap on the folder where you saved your website bookmark.

9) Tap on your bookmark.

Adding Bookmark in Opera on Android (mobile)

Step 1: Navigate to the Opera icon on your mobile and tap the Opera icon.

Step 2: Type in your website’s URL into the Opera address bar. Tap the search icon or the checkmark located in the bottom right-hand corner of the keyboard.

Step 3: Tap the menu icon located in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 4: The Opera menu will open. Tap the “Bookmarks” menu option.

Step 5: Edit your bookmark:

  • Give your bookmark a name (example: the name of your website)
  • Select a folder where you want to keep the bookmark.
  • Tap the checkmark to return to the website page.

Step 7: To visit your website using your new bookmark, tap the Opera icon located in the bottom right-hand corner.
